PHOENIX, AZ – [Thursday, July 23, 2020] – Retain Technologies, the leading software solution for academic departments to engage, schedule and communicate with their students, is thrilled to announce a partnership with the University of Washington athletic department.
Washington will leverage Retain to power academic excellence throughout the department. Retain’s software and mobile application will provide efficient appointment scheduling and reporting, streamline communication between student-athletes and staff, and allow touch-less check-ins for study table, and student-athlete development programming and events.
“We are very excited to announce our partnership with Retain Technologies in order to enhance our student-athlete experience,” says Kim Durand, UW Senior Associate Athletic Director for Student-Development. “The functionality of the platform is very desirable and user-friendly which is something that appealed to us from the start. The willingness to adapt and adjust the software so it aligns with how we operate has also been apparent from the very beginning of our conversations. We are most excited how this will centralize a number of our processes through one platform and the potential to utilize Retain for our student-athlete development efforts.”
With Retain, the Student-Athlete Academic Services unit at UW will be able to increase efficiency and accountability around academic support to improve outcomes for their 22 sports. Academic staff will have complete visibility into student-athlete schedules, professor feedback, course assignments, and communication history. Tutorial staff will also be able to utilize Retain Mobile on iOS or Android devices to manage upcoming appointments and submit session feedback and attendance in a timely manner.
“We are excited to partner with the University of Washington athletic department on their academic and student-development efforts,” said Retain CEO Kevin Collignon. “The Husky Athletics department continues to raise the bar for academic excellence across all sports and we are thrilled to provide a platform that will centralize their operations.”
